For the recent TV drama about Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor, Helena Bonham-Carter reports that she consulted an astrologer to help her characterisation. As quoted in interviews, the astrology was a bit simplistic, paraphrased as “you’re air, she’s water”, which when you look at the element distribution of planets isn’t entirely accurate: ET has almost all planets in water and fire and HB-C has a very even distribution of elements. But even using the simple Gemini-Pisces difference could be useful to inform the acting of Taylor. (note: HB-C’s chart is based on Noon.) For those of you who weren’t around in the 1960’s and 1970’s it’s difficult to get across just what huge celebrities Taylor and her twice-husband Scorpio Richard Burton were, with their lives continually in the headlines.

July 2013 will see a grand trine - where three planets are each 120° apart in the sky - in this case Jupiter (Cancer), Saturn (Scorpio) and Neptune (Pisces). These three planets have not formed a grand trine relationship since the turn of the year 1749-50, again in water signs (1929 came close, though was disassociate). An internet search of ‘grand trine 2013’ will pull in some interesting comments, but it would seem to be a good time for blessing one’s dreams, especially if you have planets round about 5° of Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces. The trine will be within orb from the beginning of July until mid August and will be closest round about 16-19 July. Read Christina Rodenbeck's July 2013 post here. KL |
